This year, some employers have announced to their staff or to the media/public that they have dropped their respective coercive injection policy.
Education NSW have announced on their Web site: “Department of Education staff no longer need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 as a condition of employment from 1 August 2022, except for staff working in schools for specific purposes (SSPs) who must maintain 2 doses of an approved Covid-19 vaccine, or hold a valid medical contraindication.” [1]
In February 2022, the City of Gold Coast Council dropped their jab policy after pro-choice employees hired a legal team to take the case to the Industrial Relations Commission. [3] Tash was an employee of the City of Gold Coast Council affected adversely by the coercive injection policy. She almost died after receiving the second Pfizer injection. She fell to the ground, gasping for air on the pharmacy floor. Her close-to-death experience opened the eyes of her Council colleagues. She said the “green tick nearly cost me my life and my career”. [4] She now has to carry an Epi-Pen for life!
The ABC reported in May 2022: “Workers in healthcare and education settings across Canberra will soon no longer be required to be vaccinated against Covid-19, the ACT Health Minister has announced.”
This is an interesting development since in the ACT, industrial manslaughter is an offence, where a director of a business may be charged with industrial manslaughter if an employer’s direction to an employee to get the Covid injection directly leads to their death. [5]
The CBA in an e-mail to staff have announced that they will end their jab policy.
