ITALY – Professional footballer Pedro Obiang has been diagnosed with myocarditis as a result of the COVID-19 vaccines. Mr. Obiang was hospitalized for around ten days. He was recently discharged but can’t play football for a minimum of 6 months. A doctor, who prefers to remain anonymous, confirmed that the footballer is diagnosed with myocarditis: “Yes, I confirm the diagnosis”.
Myocarditis, inflammation of the muscle tissue of the heart (the myocardium), is a particularly serious problem for athletes, since it damages and destroys the cells of one of the most important organs for competitive activity.
